Gospel R&B singer Kefee’s ex-husband "Alec Godwin" has re-married.
We gathered that the Alecs Music C.E.O tied the knot over the weekend on Saturday, January 29, 2012.
Alec also changed his Facebook status from ‘In a relationship’ to ‘married’ and a day later, posted wedding photos of himself and his new bride.
Calls put through to him were not connected neither were text messages nor E-mails replied as at the time of this report.
Alec ended his three-year marriage with Kefee Obareki in 2008 after protracted marital problems. The couple in different interviews granted cited numerous problems ranging from violence to infidelity amongst other things.
Alec and Kefee met back in 1999 in a local church in Warri, and years later Alec signed Kefee to his Alecs Music record label which also housed other acts like his sister Estee and Edo-born singer Rhymzo.
According to Alec, things went sour when monetary matters came up, stating that he didn’t benefit from sales made from her debut album ‘Branama’. Kefee however stated that Alec never loved her but her career.
Kefee soon left Alecs Music and established her own management. Thing got nastier when Alec released a song which talked about the rocky relationship.
We’re told this fresh wedding held in Nigeria, even though Mr Godwin has been resident in London for sometime. He closed down Alec’s Music in Lagos shortly after separating from Kefee, and told friends he’s going to school abroad.
We’re working to get the identity of his new partner.
