Nigerian Born soul and R&B singer-songwriter, "SEAL"(Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel) and German Supermodel "HEIDI KLUM" are allegedly splitting up after six years of marriage.
The Hollywood couple said they will file divorce papers in an LA County Superior Court early next week.
The 38 year old Heidi is planning to cite ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the surprise split.
The couple, famous for renewing their vows every year in a lavish ceremony, are yet to make an official statement.
“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart,” .
Heidi, 38, and Seal, 48, wrote in a joint statement.
“This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
The split comes as shocking news to fans of the couple who have been the toast of many red carpet events. Seal and Klum’s relationship has been referenced as one of the most successful Hollywood marriages in recent times.
The couple have four children together -Henry 6, Johan 5 and Lou 2. Seal also adopted Klum’s first child, Leni 7, with Italian Flavio Briatore.
According to Forbes, Heidi raked in $20 million last year. It’s unclear how much Seal made.
