African pop singer "2face Idibia" is arguably one of the most popular artistes on the African music scene.

2baba came into African limelight when he released his hit song, African Queen and ever since then, he has been a sought after musician.

Without mincing words,2face is definitely a bonafide ladies man.

Tuface is unmarried with 5 children from different women, ranging from Sunmbo Ajaba (two boys) to Pero Adeniyi (a boy and a girl) and Annie Macaulay (a girl).

In a recent interview with journalist,2face opened up on his rather complicated love life.

2011 saw a number of collaborations between Nigerian entertainers and their foreign counterparts.


Joining his other colleagues in the battle of collaborations,Chocolate city act "ICE PRINCE" had join the list with his recent hook-up with Jamaican dancehall/Reggae act Gyptian.

Ice Prince seized the opportunity to work with Gyptian who flew into the country for a quick performance at the recently concluded Calabar Festival on Friday, December 30, 2011.

The acts recorded a remix to ‘Magician’, a single off Ice Prince’s debut record ‘Everybody Likes Ice Prince’.

‘We’ve been in talks with Gyptian before he flew in but they meeting in person just accelerated things. They have recorded a song but will be releasing it later’, Nanle, Ice Prince’s manager tells journalists.

Nanle also tells that a video for the remix has already been shot. It was directed by Clarence Peters.

2011 was busy for the ‘superstar’ rapper; he released his debut album and performed in a quite a number of African countries and the UK.

Gyptian is credited with the monster calypso smash hit song ‘Hold yuh‘ and is signed to New York-based VP Records.

Other international collaborations that have taken place in recent times include ‘Mr Endowed remix’ by D’banj and Snoop Dogg, ‘Don’t dull remix’ by Wizkid and Akon, ‘Boogie down’ by Naeto C and HHP, ‘The way you are (remix) by Darey and Chamillionaire, and ‘Good time’ by J Martins and Cabo Snoop.

Innocent idibia "2FACE"'s record label "HYPERTEK MUSIC" had just signed upon his label,young and talented act "DAMMY KRANE".This young dude, who happens to be Nigeria Rap act "SAUCE KID" cousin, has break the record to be the first signed on act on the label.

Dammy Krane,Real Name Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, was born on the 10th of Dec. 1993. {That makes him 18},is currently the youngest known artiste in the Naija music industry. He is set to take this industry by storm, so remember where you read about him first!

Dammy Krane was born to Oluwakemi Osodi (who was a manager in the fuji music industry at the time). The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as Dammy began cultivating his knack for musical expression at an early age of six, singing in his church’s children’s choir.

This was the tweet by Tunde Demuren, a director at Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), at 12:56AM three days back, is just another reason why we’re thinking the pop label is searching for the lady that’ll join other acts like,Wizkid, Skales and Banky W on the label.

The main reason itself came out from Banky W’s statement to a Studio 53 Extra interviewer few hours before Demuren’s tweet.

Banky W, also a director at the label, and the A&R mind behind the signing of Wizkid and Skales, said the label is hoping to soon have its own first lady.

‘It’ll be nice to have an EME first lady‘, Banky told —– during the interview which aired on MNET fourth night ago.

It’s uncertain who the label is considering or whether at all they’re considering anyone yet. And if they are, it’s very unlikely it’ll be a project for this quarter – Skales’ album is priority for now, those close to the label say; as well as the R&BW album from Banky.

Meanwhile, Mo’Hits and Chocolate City are also hoping to sign their first set of female acts too.

Mo’Hits said at a press conference last year they’re hoping to use the next edition of Koko Mansion to find a female talent the label will push. No details have been announced.

Nigerian Born soul and R&B singer-songwriter, "SEAL"(Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel) and German Supermodel "HEIDI KLUM" are allegedly splitting up after six years of marriage.

The Hollywood couple said they will file divorce papers in an LA County Superior Court early next week.

The 38 year old Heidi is planning to cite ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the surprise split.

The couple, famous for renewing their vows every year in a lavish ceremony, are yet to make an official statement.

“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart,” .

Heidi, 38, and Seal, 48, wrote in a joint statement.

“This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”

The split comes as shocking news to fans of the couple who have been the toast of many red carpet events. Seal and Klum’s relationship has been referenced as one of the most successful Hollywood marriages in recent times.

The couple have four children together -Henry 6, Johan 5 and Lou 2. Seal also adopted Klum’s first child, Leni 7, with Italian Flavio Briatore.

According to Forbes, Heidi raked in $20 million last year. It’s unclear how much Seal made.

Nolly-wood actor "Chinedu Ikedieze", better known as AKI, is reportedly in honeymoon in Dubai with his wife of less than a month, Nneoma.

The couple, who got married at a star studded event last year on December 9, 2011, in Lagos (following their Traditional wedding on November 26), picked the United Arab Emirate’s pride city as their honeymoon and vacation spot.

The honeymoon, which traditionally follows the wedding, was briefly postponed till a more convenient time.

Recently, the United Arab Emirates has seen a rise in the number of visitors who come to enjoy some of the finest luxuries in life, especially in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, which is a shopper’s haven.

It wasn't a fair one for popular Nolly-wood actress "Patience Ozokwor" as she flew into rage and physically attacked a man aboard an Arik aircraft at Abuja Airport recently.

According to eye-witness reports,the man,said to be a leading businessman from Anambra State,and accompanied by his wife and children and others had bought their plane tickets to fly from Abuja to Enugu.

When their flight was called,the passengers started boarding.According to source,the businessman bought four tickets,and had specifically requested that the seats should be next to each other.

The airline had complied with his wish.But,when they got on the plane,the man discovered that there was a lady who was sitting on one of the seats allocated to them,and was having an animated conversation with Patience Ozokwor who occupied the last seat in that row.

So,the man politely asked the other lady to please vacate his seat as he wanted to sit with his wife and children and had actually arranged for it to be so.

The lady he was speaking to was said to have told the man that she was a big fan of Mama G,as Patience Ozokwor is widely known,and wanted to sit with her for the duration of the flight,though she agreed that her own seat number was on another row.But the man still went on to request for his own seat.

He said,according to sources,that he would not have minded giving up his seat if he was traveling alone,but that under the present circumstances,he could not do so as it would defeat the aim of his sitting with his family during the flight.

It was at this point,we gathered,that Mama G flew into a rage and allegedly said,” Don’t mind the useless man”. The man in question was said to have taken a serious exception to her caustic comment and asked her (Patience) what she meant.

Surprisingly,Mama G got up from her seat and allegedly attacked the man physically.It was discovered that the Big Boy’s glasses got broken in the process and that his face was gashed,probably by Mama G’s finger-nails.

The man,said to be quite furious by this time,made his way to the cockpit of the aircraft and reported the matter to the pilot.But,the pilot said that the matter would be looked into when they get to Enugu.

The businessman would have nothing to do with that arrangement,however,and disembarked from the plane.He then when straight to the FAAN office there and reported that there was a terrorist aboard their aircraft.

It was at that point that several other passengers,including a leading Anambra State politician and billionaire who ran for that state’s governorship elections,got down from the plane and started pleading with the businessman,who a lot of them know well,to let things go.

And it was at this point that Mama G,seeing that the man was resolute and undaunted,and that she was a short walk away from being detained behind bars,also got down from the plane and started begging the man.

Eventually he calmed down and the Arik Air flight then took off for Enugu.

Those who witnessed the whole show said that Mama G continued apologizing profusely to the man even when the aircraft touched down at Enugu Airport.

AMERICAN RAPPER "SNOOP DOGG" ARRESTED FOR DRUGS.

They always rap about getting arrested and having the police on their tracks, but every now and then, some rapper really gets to experience it and recall what the real deal is. It’s the case of Snoop Dogg, who got busted for marijuana possession by U.S. Border Patrol agents. Just another day in a rapper’s life, right?


The incident happened early Saturday, 6 January, 2012.It’s really hardly any surprise that weed and rappers go together so good, particularly when it comes to Snoop Dogg’s lyrics. He hints about that pretty often, but sticking to “Smoke Weed Everyday” track alone will be enough. Well, the famous rapper had to face reality when a drug-sniffing dog uncovered marijuana on his tour bus during a standard inspection.

Snoop Dogg was stopped at a border control checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, a small town in West Texas, the same where Willie Nelson, the country singer, was busted two years ago on a similar charge. Back then, Snoop reacted and railed against the authorities stating that “they better leave Willie the f**k alone”.

According to the agents involved in the inspection, the dog alerted them there was something to check out in a waste basket in the back of the bus. Agents say they found a red prescription bottle with several joints inside and a half-ounce of weed.

Faced with the proofs, Snoop Dogg admitted the marijuana and the joints belonged to him. The statement from the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s office said that Snoop Dogg has “freely admitted that the marijuana belonged to him and he was placed under arrest by U.S. Border Patrol agents and detained”. However, the rapper does have a prescription for marijuana in California, but he forgot that Texas police has really no tolerance for holding the drug on its territory.

Snoop Dogg was issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession and then released. Authorities in Texas say that the rapper was “cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, given notification of court appearance on/or before January 20, 2012 and released”. It is in wriiten that the Justice of the Peace in Hudspeth County said that “Snoop can resolve the entire matter by paying a $537 fine ... unless he wants to challenge the citation, in which case he can make his case in court”.

It is a thing of common knowledge that top showbiz stars endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan and actually mobilized other Nigerians to vote him into office.The support for President Jonathan’s campaign was so remarkable because D’Banj went a step further and interviewed Mr. President,which generated various rumor that Mo’Hits crew must have collected a large sum of money before taking such step.

The rapper who has six albums credited to his career had released ‘Jaga jaga’, a single which described the country’s down-state back in 2002. Obasanjo supposedly replied him derogatorily.

Journalists had a quick chat with the rapper just after he got performed his songs. Eedris disclosed that he was also approached to campaign for the current president but he said ‘no’. "They called me too but I turned them down, D’banj can’t be here because he knows he has disappointed the people", Eedris said.

Sensational singer and C.E.O. of Alapomeji record label "Abolore Adigun Akande" a.k.a "9ice" has moved out of his Abuleegba-Lagos home, according to different sources close to the singer-songwriter,we’re told that the award-winning talent, who recently released his long-awaited albums; Bashorun Gaa and Versus, has now moved into a rented property in Ogba, in Lagos.

Leaving his hangers-on behind, and severring ties with all Alapomeji artistes and affiliates, with whom he enjoyed a communal living style while in Abule-egba, those close to the singer say he’s restructuring his life, and working hard to get to the A list.

9ice, a truly gifted talent and game-changer,continues to get respect and love from fans and critics.

But the wild days of Gongo Aso are since over. His ratings have dropped drastically, no endorsements have come his way and promoters no longer find him indispensable.

Popular Nolly-wood Yoruba actress,"Bimbo Akinsanya" is yet to wait again,before becoming a free person,in the attempted murder case against her.

The murder case against the sonorous voiced actress at a Lagos Magistrate Court,Ikeja,was over alleged masterminding of an attempt on the life of one Rev.Pat Ogechi Dennah.

At the Court hearing last year on Wednesday,21st December,2011 at the Lagos Magistrate Court presided over by Mr.A.O Isaac,after barely an hour of hearing,the Magistrate adjourned the case till March 30th 2012.

Interestingly,Bimbo seems to be getting more popular by the day with the case as several of her family members and fans stormed the court in obvious show of solidarity for her.

The actress,clad in a simple gown and a veil which practically covered her face,probably to hide her identity,wore a pair of slippers and was in a pensive mood before the court session.

Immediately the Magistrate pronounced the case adjourned till March 30th,2012,the fair complexion actress had a complete change of mood,smiled and exclaimed “Thank God”.

Efforts to get her reaction on the case was futile as several of her fans and suspected body guards around her prevented anyone from getting closer to her.

Bimbo got into trouble precisely on the 28th October 2011,after Rev. Pat Ogechi Dennah was shot by an unknown gun man at 20,Samuel Street,Akowonjo,Egbeda,Lagos.

According to the gist,she was mentioned in the attempt on the life of this Lady.

The offence we gathered,is punishable Under Section 338 and 516 of the Criminal Code,Cap.C.17. The Senegalese music icon, percussionist, occasional actor and Grammy winner yesterday Jan 2nd 2012, announced he is in the race for the presidency of Senegal in the coming elections in February, competing against the country's 85yr old president, Abdoulaye Wade, who is running for third term.

"I am a candidate. I will engage in the presidential race. I do not have a university education but the presidency is not something you go to school for. For a very long time, many Senegalese of different backgrounds have called for my candidacy for the presidency next February. I've listened, I've heard and I am responding favorably to their request. I am a candidate. It's a supreme patriotic duty, the best I can give of myself. I am the alternative to the current leadership in place in the country" - N'Dour said in a broadcast.

Youssou N'Dour was born in Dakar to a Serer father. At the age of 12, he began to perform and within a few more years he was performing regularly with the Star Band, Dakar's most popular group during the early 1970s. Several members of the Star Band joined Orchestra Baobab about that time.

Despite N’Dour's maternal connections to the traditional griot caste, he was not raised in that tradition, which he learned, instead, from his siblings. His parents' world view encouraged a modern outlook, leaving him open to two cultures and thereby inspiring Youssou's identity as a modern griot.

Exactly July 2011, we did a story on a certain Nolly-wood Actress from the northern region.How she was sentenced to death for killing a man, well their has been a twist in the drama as following several unconfirmed reports by different news outlets, we can now confirm that convicted actress "Rabi Ismail" is indeed on the run, having escaped from Hadejia prison in Jigawa State.

The popular actress mostly known for Hausa roles in the Kano film industry known as Kannywood, as reported earlier in July 2011 was sentenced to death by the Court of Appeal for killing a male friend.

Reports say Ismail was ‘found missing’ days before she was to be executed, and that the State Prison Service has issued a search order for her capture.

‘The escapee was accused of murder and a high court in Kano ruled that she was guilty and sentenced her accordingly, six people including three female wardens have been arrested and are being investigated for the mysterious disappearance of the convict’, the state’s comptroller of prisons disclosed.

The incident has sparked off an investigation, which has already consumed at least six prison officials.

‘I’m just getting to hear the news, it’s unfortunate, I hope she doesn’t complicate her matter’, President of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Segun Arinze told journalists in a telephone conversation.

Definitely its going to be a money rain this year, as big Hiphop gurus has increased their fees.

Hip hop’s most recognizable power duo and top earners Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter and Kanye West, commanded some of the highest performance fees in 2011 – and they’ve cemented that position further after they were recently paid a whopping $6M (N973M) for a private show in Dubai.

‘Hov’ and ‘Yeezy(as they were called) were reported to have been paid $2.9M (N470M) each as upfront payment for the show.

The duo, whose flight expenses were also borne by multi-billionaire Sheik Mansour, were billed to perform at a sweet sixteen birthday gig for the Manchester City Football Club owner’s niece.

Having recently wrapped up their ‘Watch the Throne‘ Tour in America, Jay-Z revealed that a follow-up to the collaborative album may be forth coming. ‘We, I say ‘we’ because I’m in throne mode–we’re in a great place creatively. You might see a Jay, then Kanye and a throne album next year… We’ve really found our zone’, the Brooklyn native said.

The ‘Watch the Throne’ album, which was released in August, 2011, made its way to the top of the Billboard charts, selling 436,000 units in its first week, and has been certified platinum with over 1.1 million copies sold in the U.S.

Information from several sources has lead us to know rapper Eedris Abdulkareem and singer Jaywon where engaged in a fight that lead Jaywon to the hospital.

Seven years after the infamous airport altercation between Eedris Abdulkareem and G-Unit bodyguards, the troubled rapper has been involved in another major fight.

Multiple sources, including eye witnesses, have informed journalist of the physical fight between two Kennis Music acts, rapper Eedris Abdulkareem and singer Jaywon.

The story is that Eedris and Jaywon amongst other artistes had attended and performed at a street carnival held in National Bank Estate, Satellite Town on Thursday, December 29, 2011. Sources say after Jaywon’s performance, his excited fans had followed him to the bus which conveyed the acts to the show.

‘Eedris started insulting him. Jaywon didn’t want any drama, so he decided to get down from the bus so that things wouldn’t escalate’, an insider who would rather remain anonymous speaks. The summary of the whole saga is that the younger singer Jaywon had blood stains all over him‘,

We’re told that didn’t stop Eedris from allegedly pouncing on the younger singer and raining blows on him as he stepped out of the bus. <b>‘Jaywon didn’t lift a hand and by the time Eedris was done, the poor boy had blood stains all over him‘, a source, who claims Jaywon was rushed to the hospital, told journalists.

CALABAR CARNIVAL ORGANIZER PLANS TO SUE "RICK ROSS"

The annual calabar carnival has come and gone,but there is one thing for sure that the organizers wouldn't forget, is American Rapper star "RICK ROSS" cancelling its performance at the late hour giving unknown excuses.


Organizers of the just concluded Calabar Festival have reacted to rapper "Rick Ross" cancellation of his performance which was scheduled to take place last year on December 28, 2011 saying the move was unexpected and they are ‘deeply saddened’ by it.

As reported, "Ross" representative had stated that they cancelled their Calabar appearance last minute, due to "unfulfilled contractual obligations".

In a statement released by the organizers of the Calabar Festival states that the Miami-based rapper had "confirmed a receipt of his entire performance fee many weeks ago".

"Cross River State and its agents have retained counsel in the United States to pursue their legal and monetary remedies against the artist", the statement on their official website reads.

"The Calabar Festival concerts raise money for many charities across Nigeria. The performance by Rick Ross was scheduled to raise significant amounts for the Destiny Child Centre Charity", it further reads.

The show,on that faithful day still went on despite Ross's absence as fans gathered to watch the other headliners Psquare, Wizkid, Banky W, OJB Jezreel and others at the U.J Esuene stadium.
