After hours and days that the deal between iyanya and a lenovo communications struck the walls, the kukere master manager has come out to clear the waves about the endorsement deal that it still exist afterwards.
Ubi Franklin explains that the deal does
exist and he doesn’t particularly care if Lenovo knows about it or not,
explaining that they indeed have a working relationship with Zinox
Computers who are licensed sellers of Lenovo products in Nigeria.
‘If Lenovo says that, then that’s
their business, my artiste has a deal to promote their products here in
Nigeria and in a few weeks, you’ll see what we’re are talking about‘, Fraklin who was quite furious but very explanatory told journalist.
Franklin has also denied he told our reporter the deal costs N150m, claiming that he never said so. ‘I
never said any amount to your reporter. It’s not the first deal we’ve
had, deals come knocking but we’re very careful to pick what we want to
do, please understand this‘.
Iyanya’s publicist has also reached out
to us, stating that they never said Zinox is a parent company to Lenovo
in Nigeria but only a representative. Lenovo however says they don’t
associate with Lenovo in that manner.
What we can tell you is that Iyanya does
have an endorsement deal with Zinox Computers. Zinox has opened an
online retail store and will sell tech products including Lenovo. That’s
where we get the Iyanya-Lenovo connection.
Our question is, why did Iyanya make it
look like he signed an endorsement deal when it was just another branch
of his existing deal? and when bloggers hurriedly put up an incorrect,
misleading endorsement story, why didn’t Iyanya’s team take it upon
themselves to state the facts clearly and avoid confusion?
