Hip-hop in Nigeria has taken a new turn over the decades and those among the re-branding of hip-hop in Nigeria is this Enugu state born diva "J-tina" whose real name is Onyeabo Justina Chinedu.The Hip-Hop, Reggae and R n B singer hails from Ani-Nri Local Government Area of Enugu state.
J-tina whose is 5.5 feet tall female singer happens to be the only child born to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Onyeabo on the 10th of July 1986.
She started her music career while in Secondary School,at Dell International College, Agunlejika, Ijeshatedo, Lagos, where she participated and won awards for her school in all singing and music competitions then.
She went on to complete her Senior Secondary School at Ajumoni Grammar School, Okota, Lagos. Presently, She is a graduate of Lagos State University, Ojo, where She Studied Business Administration, A Management Science Course.
Professionally she started her in 2003 sharing the stages with top artiste like "Eedris Abdulkareem", "Tony Tetuila", "Plantation Boiz" "Zaaky Adeze" e.t.c
J-tina, whose not just a musician but also a talented person in various genres of Arts combined to her music career such as Modeling, Dance, Presentation, and Acting etc.
She once Co-hosted a Radio program with D Efficacy at Noun Fm, VI, Lagos. Her kind of music is unique and many still baffles at how she combines Hip-Hop with Reggae in her flows. She’s been performing lots of events such as events in her school and other schools, events in churches, Parties, Carnivals, Social and Co-operate Events, City Pride Achievers Awards, Tony Young’s Album Launch Party.
Recently, she did her Album listening party where she performed along side top Naija artists like Funshizo, Tony Young, Mc Danni B who MC’d, Sauce kid, mudina, zee world, skailey, sylence and others. The turn up was massive and impressive and was grace by the duo of prime time crew "kenny ogungbe" and "Dayo Adeneye".
Her performance is always met with warmth from the crowd who feels her moving and sonorous vocal ability on stage and her sex appeal dance steps.
And now, the Hip-Hop, Reggae and R n B singer who has been under ground for long, has dropped hit singles titled, ABC Love which is currently been played on radio stations in Nigeria, off shores and on line.
Her album , ‘A FEEL OF ME’, coming out soon, featuring Nigerian artists like EVG, Blacks Tone, T Fresh, Da kronicle, Tony Young, Lala Wine, and J Blow, No Vex, Danni Boi with producers like, Dwiz, E Twinz, Danni Boi, and Tony Young.
