EVANGELIST OBEY FABIYI LOSES WIFE JULIANA AT 67.

Few weeks to christy essience ibokewe final burail, the country has lost one of its backbones in the gospel ministry as it was a sad momment for the family of Nigeria's finest Juju turned gospel musician,"Evangelist, Dr. Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi", has he lost his wife "Lady Evangelist Juliana Olaide Obey-Fabiyi" .
The 67-year-old woman died in the early hours of Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) on Medical Road in Ikeja.
Although the family is yet to disclose the cause of death, we however gathered that the lady evangelist had recently travelled to a health-care centre in India.
A family source also told Nigerian journalist that she died of a heart related disease.
Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi reportedly quoted a bible verse at his first reaction of his wife death saying, ‘For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even unto death (Psalm 48:18)'.
Speaking with journalist at the family residence on Olu Akerele Street by Balogun Bus/Stop, Ikeja on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 where a press briefing was being held, he said, ‘I have nothing much to say, but to thank the creator…. Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD (Job 1:21)’.
Born Juliana Olaide Olufade on March 23, 1945, the deceased married the Obey in 1963. We also gathered that she was a front-line businesswoman and a poultry farmer.
Mrs. J. O. Obey-Fabiyi is survived by her husband, Evang. Obey Fabiyi (MFR), Shina, Rotimi, Bukky Obey-Olaiya, Lanre, Toluwaleke and Folarin.
