EXPOSED: CUT IN THE ACT......DAVIDO WITH LOVER.

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

Nigeria’s newest and hottest pop sensation "Davido" might have bitten off more than he can chew when he hooked up with an undergraduate on a trip to Ghana yesterday.

Barely 24 hours after arrived in Ghana, there’s been a leak; with very private pictures of him in bed with an undergraduate emerging on Blackberry Messenger and Twitter.

It’s gone viral already, just like it was with the Wande Coal nude photo leak. Just this morning, 19 year old Davido trended worldwide on Twitter; with thousands commenting on the pictures showing him in bed with a lady believed to be 18-year-old undergraduate Sonia Jumbo. Different images show the lady fondling and kissing him while he was asleep. In one, she’s seen licking his tattoo.

Sources say Sonia, a Port-Harcourt based Nigerian currently studying in Ghana, had used the images as display pictures on her Blackberry Messenger, leading to some of her contacts copying them and sharing them on social networking sites, causing a major frenzy.

Davido had travelled to Ghana along with his manager Asa Asika and crew member Sinarambo to perform at the Miss ISA 2012 beauty pageant, put together by the International Students Association of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

We’re not immediately able to reach Davido or his manager. Phones were switched off and messages had not been replied as at 11:30am.

2FACE OPENS MULTI-MILLION BOUTIQUE FOR FIANCEE,ANNIE MACAULAY + ENGAGEMENT RING COSTS N4.5 MILLION

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

In what some have dubbed the triumph of love, Annie Macaulay was filled with tears of joy on Val night in Lagos when Innocent Idibia popularly known as Tuface finally proposed to her.

It was a fitting climax for an unsteady romance between the rising Nollywood actress cum model and her R&B super star lover who has been with her for over 13 years.

Innocent Idibia chose the romantic night of Valentine’s Day (February 14) to pop the million dollar question at posh Victoria Island-based hangout, Club 10, owned by Ex-Super Eagles captain, JayJay Okocha.

At the event which was witnessed by a small crowd that included a few friends as well as other revellers, the musician presented a specially made ring which it was learnt cost N4.5 million Naira to his lover.

The loverbirds have since made their engagement public with their pictures littering the social media.

2face has already started introducing Annie afresh as,”Meet my wife, the woman of my dreams”.

And from what we were told, they would likely tie the knot this year.

Further findings revealed that 2face has surprised Annie with a multi-million naira boutique stocked with all you can think of in Ikota Shopping Complex.

According to source,2face sent Annie shopping to America in December and when she came back he surprised her with the keys of the boutique and told her he was proud of her.

They have named the boutique,Forever Young and plan on opening it In March.

According to a new and yet unconfirmed report, circulating round the blogsville says the talented musician has branched out an olive leaf to his two baby mamas, Pero Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajaba, who lost out in the battle for his soul.

The report says he has offered each of the two women a sum of N10 million, a house in a choice area, and a car of their choice.

According to the report, Tuface who is currently recording his next album in LA, is making the moves quietly through a confidant to avoid the media from feasting on it.

MY HEART CHOOSE ANNIE......SHES ALL I GOT SAYS "TUFACE IDIBIA"

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

Groom-to-be 2face Idibia tackles all (well, almost all) the nagging questions on his recent proposal to Annie Macaulay, his current relationship with Pero Adeniyi and Sunmbo Ajaba, and their upcoming wedding.

Of your three ‘baby mamas’, why Annie?

That’s where my heart led me to.

Why Valentine’s Day?

That’s when it happened. It just so happened to be the time I felt the need to make that move.

Considering that you have known her for such a long time and what has happened with you with the women and the children, when did you decide to make the move?

It was part of my New Year resolution to follow my heart this year.

How did the thought come into your mind?

Like any other thought about something important. You start feeling the need to do something or go somewhere different from deep within. Then you just make your move one time. No shaking.

When do you plan to tie the knot?

We will let you know soon enough.

Why did it take you so long to finally make this decision?

I needed to get there, you know, reach the point wey e be say, gbagam! My mind, heart and everything dey ready. The timing for marriage should not be determined by any outside influence my guy. If you are not ready for it don’t commit to it because some people think you should.

Were you nervous before you popped the question?

Yes I was but I was sure of what I was doing.

What if she had turned down the offer?

Wow! I would have asked again.

Can you really be a one-woman man?

Na the journey I don start so now, abi?

What will change now that you are about to get married?

Everything that needs to change.

What is your relationship with the other mothers of your children?

Same at it has been all the while. Cordial mostly. I’ve still got respect for them because we have kids together.

Do you know their reaction to this decision?

I know it may be difficult if any one happens to still be attached emotionally but I can only hope they understand that that’s where my heart is.

Other women have been associated with you in the past five years. Pero, as a matter of fact, is expecting a third child for you soon. One would have expected that the woman with three children would be your option. Not that you owe it anyone, but can you explain the reason for your choice?

Wow! And someone else would say it should have been the mother of my eldest child. Another person will even argue that it should be the lady that has been with me for the longest time. These are matters of the heart. They can’t always be analysed like that. Sometimes you no fit analyse am at all sef.

Being that you had three women to choose from, at least seemingly, what it is about Annie that decided it for you?

My mind, my body, my soul, my heart chose her.

Now that you have decided to writing's down with your ‘True love’, your ‘African Queen’, how will this affect your song?

It will add more inspiration.

Your next album drops very soon. Any chances of an ‘African queen II’ to celebrate your fiancĂ©e?

Yes o!

Who will perform at your wedding?

Certainly not me. A couple of my colleagues definitely.

SHOCKER: "YOU CAUSED YOUR OWN BROTHER'S DEATH" ..SAYS JOHN FASHANU'S DAUGHTER TO HIM.

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

Trawling through film archives for a BBC documentary she was making about gay footballers, Amal Fashanu, John Fashanu’s daughter discovered the ‘dark secret’ that overshadowed her family for more than two decades.

She learned that her uncle, Justin Fashanu – Britain’s first £1 million black player and the only professional footballer to ‘come out’ as homosexual – was devastated by the rejection of his own family.

Amal, 23-year-old daughter of Justin’s brother, the former Wimbledon player-turned-TV presenter John Fashanu, has always believed football failed her uncle and that homophobia contributed to the fragile mental state that led him to take his life. But she now also believes he was pushed over the edge by rejection by the people he loved the most. In the programme, Britain’s Gay Footballers, Amal tries to discover why no other player has ‘come out’ like Justin. She discovered the full extent of her uncle’s vilification after he revealed his sexuality in 1990 at 29. His once stellar career was dogged by sex scandals and he hanged himself eight years later, after being accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy in America. But it was Justin’s schism with John that appears to have left the deepest cut. John condemned him in a TV interview when Justin came out, saying he would have to ‘suffer the consequences’ for going public and adding he would ‘not want to play or even get changed’ with him.

Desperate for money, his career waning, Justin sold stories to the tabloids – later proved false – about sexual liaisons with politicians and celebrities.

At the time the details were kept from Amal. ‘It was very upsetting to see the old news reports of my father disowning his own brother,’ she says. ‘I was only 10 when it happened and my parents wanted to protect me. After my parents split up, I grew up with my mother in Madrid and although I heard things, I never discussed it with my father. I knew he had not approved of Justin’s lifestyle, but the extent of his disloyalty was a shock. ‘Other members of the family have been reticent. It hurts me to think everyone abandoned him. I can’t help but think it would have taken just one supportive person to stand up for him.’

Amal graduated from Brunel University last year and is set on a modelling or TV career. When she confronted her father for her documentary, the former Gladiators host, now a businessman in Nigeria, insisted he had never been homophobic, but had been protecting the family name. He told her: ‘At the time, I was cross with my brother. It was the way it came out – cheap and dirty, horrible scandals day after day. Going on the front pages of the newspapers, saying you’d had sexual relationships with MPs. Justin was selfish. I did what I thought was right for our family and for myself.’ The brothers – former Barnardo’s Homes boys who were fostered in Norfolk – had once forged a bond in childhood adversity. Both started in professional football with Norwich City in 1978. Justin was signed for £1 million in 1981 by Nottingham Forest, where manager Brian Clough bluffly challenged Justin’s taste for ‘poof clubs’, ultimately driving him from the team.

After playing for a string of clubs, injury and homophobia eventually forced Justin into coaching work in Canada, New Zealand and America, where, in 1998, he was accused of the sex assault. Returning to Britain, he hanged himself two days later in a back-street garage in London’s East End. It was then revealed that the assault accusation was unfounded and no arrest warrant existed.

On the morning that news of his suicide broke, an interview was published giving John’s reaction to the assault claims. John had said: ‘I just pray the accusations are not true, but we lost contact years ago and, anyway, I’m past caring.’ Justin’s suicide note protested his innocence but added that he did not want to heap further embarrassment on his family. He said he had felt abandoned by those he cared about. ‘What I’ve learned about him since doing this documentary is that he really wanted to be true to himself,’ says Amal. ‘But society would not accept a gay top-flight sportsman. ‘In the 14 years since his death, no one has been brave enough to follow in his footsteps.

There are about 5,000 professional footballers in the country, yet incredibly not a single one of them has come out as gay. I’m proud Justin was my uncle and that he was brave enough to say what he did. I think my dad now regrets the harsh way he responded.
‘The game needs more people like my uncle if homophobic barriers are to be removed.’

BLASPHEMY: U.S. HIPHOP FEMALE ACT "NICKY MINAJ" DRAGS THE "POPE" TO THE GRAMMYS.

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

This is more like a like a blasphemy to the catholic world, though She might not have won any awards on Sunday, February 12, 2012, but hip-hop artiste "Nicki Minaj " sure did get a lot of attention at the 54th Grammy Awards where she delivered a rather provocative performance.

Minaj came dressed to the Grammy’s in a large Versace designed red robe with a man dressed like the Pope. As if that wasn’t enough – levitated, spoke in tongues and acted possessed with the man on stage.

That’s not all; during the performance a short video clip was played on the screens for the audience at the Staples Centre, LA and viewers back home to watch – The clip was a re-enactment of the 1971 ‘demonic possession and exorcism’ movie The Exorcist.

The problem is, she seems to have bitten more than she can chew as the Catholic League have fired out at her asking if she might be possessed.

The Catholic league is not just unhappy with Minaj but also the Recording Academy, organizers of the awards.

‘Whether Minaj is possessed is surely an open question, but what is not in doubt is the irresponsibility of The Recording Academy. Never would they allow an artist to insult Judaism or Islam. Catholic League President "Bill Donohue" said in the press release titled Is Nicki Minaj Possessed?

‘It’s bad enough that Catholics have to fight for their rights vis-a-vis a hostile administration in Washington without also having to fend off attacks in the entertainment industry. The net effect, however, will only embolden Catholics, as well as their friends in other faith communities’, Donohue continued.

Minaj is not new to controversies; and her new video ‘Stupid Hoe’> was only recently banned by BET because of its ‘explicit contents’.

BREAKING NEWS: TONI PAYNE IS EIGHT (8) WEEKS PREGNANT......9ICE!.

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

People are so pessimistic about the possibility of reconciliation between the proverbial lyricist "Abolore Akande" aka "9ice' and his estranged wife "Toni Payne" but friends are on the other hand optimistic that one day they will get over the storm in their marriage.

By the looks of things, It appears the duo might get back together.

Unconfirmed news making the rounds says Toni Payne is eight weeks pregnant for 9ice.

According from our sources, the talented musician is feeling betrayed by Tonie Payne's sudden pregnancy news.

Close source says 9ice feels so bad with the latest developments.

He believes the pregnancy would create another controversy and this might impact his career in a negative ways.

We learnt Toni Payne has not been so comfortable since reports that 9ice has twins from another relationship. So, she uses various ploys for getting her own way

Recalled few weeks back, we brought to your notice how the two estranged celebrated couple use to meet secretly at a three bedroom apartment located in Gateway street in Magodo,Lagos.

And what the source who always notice when they both arrive their secret location told us.

Then he said; They come together at least three times in a week and when they come like that they spend the night, except in some few cases when they have to leave later at night”

From the look of things, their under G affair has resulted in a pregnancy.

We gathered that despite 9ice's remonstrations about the new developments,Tonie Payne remained adamant.

We learnt 9ice’s disposition towards the pregnancy infuriates tonie payne and they had a little tiff over the issue.

Some people are insinuating that the issue at hand prompted Tonie Payne’s Twiiter war with 9ice.

Tonie Payne took to twitter some days back and tweeted: thusAnybodys sperm can swim to fertilize an egg but not everybody has a good heart to carefully nurture the result of the sperm meeting the egg.

Some minutes laters, she tweeted again: There are some people in ur past that should remain there simply cos dey av no positive biz in ur future. The sooner u realize, the wiser u are.

It should be noted that Toni Payne and 9ice are still married legally, they are only separated and not divorced.

9ice was a burgeoning musician when he met the then US-based Toni Payne at an event in Lagos. They got married in July 2008 and had a baby shortly after. They agreed to separate in January 2010, confirming speculations that the marriage was not built on solid foundations.

All efforts to reach the two estranged celebrated couple to react to this development proved abortive as their GSM lines were all switched off.

We did not want to join the bandwagon of rumor-mongers, but we urge the duo to issue us a statement about the story.

FEMI KUTI WILL BE MISSING THE "GRAMMY AWARDS 2012".

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

This year’s Grammy Awards, the 54th edition of the show, is set to showcase several of the world’s most recognizable stars, and reward those who have made their mark in music across the world, from the U.S, Asia & Europe, through to Africa.

However, when the show goes down on Sunday February 12, one nominee who will not be gracing the hugely anticipated event is Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Femi Kuti.

Kuti’s sister Yeni tells us via SMS that Femi, who’s nominated in the Best World Music Category, is not shunning the awards as is being reported, but that the afrobeat giant would not be attending the awards because ‘he would be too disappointed if he goes and he doesn’t win’.

Femi’s nomination is for his album ‘Africa for Africa’, released under the Knitting Factory Records imprint.

Despite Femi’s opinion, though, Yeni, who was a dancer in Femi’s positive Force band, before stepping down to manage the New Afrikan Shrine on a day-to-day, says she hopes he wins. She told our reporter, this evening, that the duo of Kenny Ogungbe and Dayo Adeneye of Kennis Music, who will be attending the event, have kindly agreed to accept the award on his behalf, should the Afrobeat singer win.

Femi Kuti, son of late Afro Beat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, received his first Grammy nomination in 2003 under the best world music album category, with his ‘Fight to Win’ album. He lost out to Panamanian Ruben Blades. He also recorded another nomination in 2010 but US banjo player Bela Fleck eventually walked away with the award.

His recent nomination sees him up against Latin/Roots music band AfroCubism, South African male choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and Malian band Tinariwen.

This year, the total number of categories for the Grammys was cut from 109 to 78 after a major overhaul last year.

MO'HITS C.E.O. "DON JAZZY" APLOGISES TO RAPPER "TERRY THA RAPMAN" OVER A STATEMENT MADE ON NIGERIAN RAPPERS.

Words:Adedosu'kenzy'Adekunle

Just yesterday, News broke out and it almost turn into a near-war between Terry Tha Rapman and Don Jazzy over a comment made by Don jazzy in an online publication.

Don Jazzy has released a statement on the issue and has apologized to Nigeria rappers on any negative effect his comments on them may have caused. He specifically apologized to Tha Rapman, who raised the topic up on twitter.

Below is Don Jazzy's official statement.

My bro I am so sorry about what i said. Pls do not take it the wrong way. i would do my best to explain wot exactly i meant Sir.

I like rap. I wish I could rap but unfortunately i can’t. That aside what i mean’t was simply the fact that i don’t know any Nigerian parent above 40 that can recite our rap word for word. That would be something. If there are hip fathers and mothers in Nigeria i don’t think they would be more than 5% of parents.

Our parents love to dance and sing along to songs that they like and brag to there friends that their son is the one singing. You can only imagine how upset they would be inside if them and their friends don’t understand or can’t rap along with their loved son.

Ok i apologize for using the words “not proud of” ‘cos you could say a parent is proud of a child that is a surgeon and can brag to his or her friends about that doesn’t mean that the parent can join the son to carry out a major operation on a patient. Doctor Sid for instance used to be a rapper (and yes i know he was not the best at it). His father used to hate that he was a musician. I personally think he was just frustrated ‘cos he didn’t understand the kind of music he was doing.

Today his father is a true believer since he could sing “Something about you” to his wife. Davido’s father didn’t like his music until he heard “Da mi duro”. Obviously he can join his friends to sing along to the song and be proud about the moment. I have had this discussion with some of my rapper friends too – M.I can tell u that his biggest song today should be African Rapper, Jesse jags – Wetin dey, Ice Prince – Oleku, Saucekid – Undergee or Carolina, Mode nine – Cry. And all this songs are big and widely accepted ‘cos of the sweet melodies on the chorus, meaning more kids and adults alike can sing along. I might be wrong but i have succeeded in this game by knowing the market i’m selling to.

I think i just speak the truth too much sometimes and it gets me in trouble ‘cos i like to be real to myself and everyone around me. That’s one of the reasons why i don’t like granting interviews.

To those that feel offended by my statement, i am sincerely sorry. I definitely wish us all well. No bad belle or bad blood towards anyone. I do hope i have been able to explain how i mean’t what i said sha na there the english wey i know reach. Thanks

It was a disastrous scene,Although details are sketchy for now,but report reaching us confirmed that "Susan Yusuf", popularly known as Suzy Q, the lady who owns "SQ Lounge" was recently in the news about ending her "Jonzing Club" partnership with "D’Prince" of "MO HITS", was stabbed to death at her flat at 1004 flats in Victoria Island Last night on Friday February 10,2012.

Speaking to journalists, the estate security this morning, confirmed Susan’s death, saying the sad event occurred at about 9:30PM last night. Apparently, the night club owner had screamed for help when things took a violent turn with Idris who sources claim is a regular visitor to her residence, but not even her next door neighbour, popular "Mo’Hits" singer "Wande Coal", could come to her aid as the music in his apartment we’re told, was pretty loud.

Investigations further revealed that the couple had been in all evening then all of a sudden an argument ensued. Idris then began stabbing Suzy with a bread knife.

The deceased lived in flat 606 in block D5. We’re told Wande Coal lives in flat 608.

"She was shouting Wande’s name but the music as usual was too loud for him to hear", one resident tells us.

Wande Coal was unreachable at the time of this report; we however saw General Pype walk past room 606 and entered room 607. Another resident tells us when Wande found out what was going on, he tried to intervene.

Idris, we’re told, jumped from the 6th floor when residents tried to apprehend him. He landed and died on the spot. ‘The guy is her boyfriend. He usually comes and sleeps over, buys groceries and rides her car’, another resident tells us.

Both bodies have been taken to the mortuary.

"Suzy doesn’t really stay at home around that time. We are all still surprised why she was at home at that time, knowing she leaves the house around 5 or 6PM and returns at about 7AM in the morning", a security guard who would rather remain anonymous tells us.

<b>"She died in the elevator as neighbours tried rushing her to the hospital, she was bleeding and holding on to her sides as her entrails were clearly spilling out but gave up the ghost".

An eye witness tells us:

‘This is a very very sad situation’> said one resident. ‘The whole estate is beyond shocked, the manner of violence is unbelievable’.

When we visited the 1004 Apartments this morning, normal activities in the estate had resumed.

The Nigerian Police Force from the Bar Beach police division have however paid a visit to the murder scene and obtained the key to the late club owner’s Prado Jeep (license number CP630-AKD).

Upon questioning, the Police remained mum on the case. ‘Please get in touch with our P.R.O’, an officer who refused to disclose his name told NET. We later saw them pumping the deflated tyres of the deceased’s Prado Jeep. We’re told the jeep would be taken over to the station.

Suzy’s was the owner of SQ Lounge, a Lagos-based night club. The club was briefly renamed Club Jonzing last year, following a partnership with pop star D’Prince.

Her close friends say prior to yesterday’s tragic event, she was planning a ‘Table for two’ Valentine’s Day dinner at SQ Lounge.

Her flat has now been sealed off by the police.

UPDATE:

We have just visited SQ Lounge. The atmosphere, unexpectedly, sober and the property is under lock and key. But we were able to get info from security staff who say the deceased was at the club yesterday. We’re told she stopped by briefly, then left for home, telling her staff she would be back.

‘Madam and Idris were like 5 and 6. They would drive each other’s cars. They still had lunch together here on Thursday’, a security staff tells us.

Another source says Suzy’s relatives have been contacted but are, surprisingly, reluctant to come see her.

We’re also told, reliably, that her body was rejected by several hospitals when they rushed her there.

UNVEILING OF THE BABY "IVY CARTER" BY PARENTS "JAY Z AND BEYONCE"

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

World's music couples and American Rapper "Jay-Z" and Singer "Beyoncé Knowles" could have very easily made millions off the exclusive first photos of their infant daughter Blue Ivy Carter, but they took a decidedly more personal approach on Friday by posting three photos to Jay-Z's website Life + Times.

The pictures of adorable Blue Ivy were accompanied by a hand-written note signed by "The Carter Family," which read, "We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives!"

From the looks of it, Blue Ivy has a beautiful head of thick, dark hair that will look gorgeous beneath the diamond-studded tiaras she'll probably wear every day. But you wouldn't expect anything less from a girl born to the most glamorous woman in the world, now would you?
