First it was with ace rapper "Sauce kid" and now "skuki". There’s a war of sorts going on between the said two artist over the ownership of the beat to their new songs ‘No Visa’ and ‘Move it’.

The two songs simultaneously have the same sound of beat. Just Recently, the Dami duro star Davido claimed ownership of the beat, saying via twitter ‘Leaking my song will only make me stronger. As for now, I have removed No Visa and enter the centre of my album. U happy Abi’.

According to Skuki’s manager "Christopher Moses", the duo owns the beat and doesn’t wish to engage anybody on the matter. ‘ We don’t want to engage anybody on this issue. What I can say, therefore, is that we own the beat. There is no doubt about it. We spent time and energy to make the beat with the producer, Theorysound, in the studio for our latest work, Move it’

Moses went on to say they were told Davido had heard the beat, but didn’t know he was planning to put it on his album. ‘The producer informed us, after we voiced the track that he played the beat and the song for Davido and his crew and they liked it. He also said Davido dropped a freestyle on it, because it inspired him, and we said there was no problem hoping that it would end there. Besides, a lot of artists both locally and abroad freestyle on each other’s beat, but putting it out would lead to copyright issues’.

‘It came as a shock when we saw a post of Davido‘s Canada tour on youtube with his freestyle on our beat well used as background music, but we still thought it would end there as the producer assured that it wouldn’t be released.

On the 5th of June, we heard that a song of Davido had leaked on the internet and it happened to be the song in question. There is a limit to what we know, but claims have it that it was anonymously leaked, so at this stage we refuse to point fingers at anyone, so moving on, we just want our fans to enjoy our new song ‘Move It’, which was originally planned to be released on VavaVoom’s birthday, July 5th, as a gift to him’.


All efforts to reach Davido or his manager Asa Asika on the phone and via e-mail proved abortive as they didn’t reply any of the messages sent to them.

Reports is currently reaching us that popular actress "Funke Akindele"s husband, "Almaroof Oloyede", who denied having married before meeting Funke, is expecting a sixth child from one of his wives, Fadekemi.

According to a story published by a popular soft-sell magazine, E24-7, Fadeke was reported to be pregnant with her second child for Almaroof.

She was also reported to have been the woman saddled with the responsibility of taking care of the Almarrof’s other four children from his earlier romances with other women.

The pregnancy, according to her, is said to be the second from her marriage with Almaroof as she already has one for him.

Explaining where the first wife, Fadeke was during Funke Akindele’s controversial wedding to her hubby on May 26, 2012, the magazine reported that Fadeke was not in Nigeria at that time. This was because she was advised to travel to London or Dubai when the news of her man getting married to another woman, Funke got to her as a huge shock.

According to sources, Almaroof humiliated Fadeke with the news of his wedding to Funke despite how she has been by his side.

It was'nt a lie when he said in an interview that he needs to move on,but Grammy award winning singer has truly decided to move on since he broke out from his marriage with his late wife and cum singer "whithney houston". Bobby Brown is once again a married man. The singer tied the knot with long-time girlfriend Alicia Etheridge in Hawaii on June 18.

Sources say the couple’s low-key wedding was attended by close friends and family members. The news of the wedding got out after Brown’s son Bobby Jr. posted a photo of the newlyweds at the ceremony on photo app Instagram.

The couple, who have a 3 year old son together, Cassius, got engaged in May 2010, when Brown proposed to Alicia during a show in Florida. Brown’s older children, Landon, 23, and La’Princia, 22, were also in attendance.

Brown was previously married to the late singer Whitney Houston, and both have a daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, who did not attend her father’s wedding.

Area father is really getting angry at this this moment,as foremost and Ex-Pman president Charles Oputa a.k.a "Charly boy" caused quite a stir at Lagos Island yesterday, Tuesday, June 19, 2012 when he walked rightly with brimstone's of fire in his eyes into the Lagos High Court and filed a lawsuit of N1Billion against the National Mirror newspaper.

According to him, he is suing the daily newspaper because it published a story claiming he said in an interview that he was a gay and a member of the Illuminati.The case was filed in by Charly Boy’s lawyer and representative Barister Ope Banwo.

The ‘Area Father’ who was followed and surrounded by bike riders as usual then held a press conference a few blocks away.

‘If any publication calls Charly Boy gay, I think it’s a fair comment. He’s in the public domain, people will always speculate. But it’s wrong to out rightly report that in an interview he actually said so. That’s a line that shouldn’t be crossed’, Charly Boy’s counsel Ope Banwo explained.

Banwo explained that he had written to the daily newspaper demanding for an apology to be published in four different dailies but received no response from them.

‘It is unfortunate this is happening to me. You all know me, I’m never bothered about any of this news but I’m shocked of this timid, Mongo-parkish way of thinking. I have put tenacity, focus and hardwork in the 35 years of building this brand. I think I deserve more’, Charly Boy told journalists.



He further said ‘You can’t appreciate the brand if you can’t look past the antics of the brand. You have to have depth. You can think and have your own opinion but as responsible journalists, we all should know there are rules of the game. I have nothing against people. I have gay people as friends, everybody is my friend as long as you are positive thinking’, .

Last month, Charly Boy had threatened to sue the paper when he took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express his displeasure.

His lawyer Ope Banwo explained that the ‘false story’ had already begun tasking a devastating blow as companies working with Charly Boy were already considering dropping him from their brands. ‘The position at the MCSN (Music Copyright Society of Nigeria) is already being threatened’,.

Charly Boy is giving another publication Daily Independent who also published the story a week’s ultimatum to publish an apology.

This will be the second homosexuality lawsuit case in recent times after Asa’s N700m court case with News of The People weekly tabloid.

The Empire Mate boss will be joining three other distinguished entertainers including, Steve Onu (Yaw), Funke Akindele, and football star, Kanu Nwankwo to lift the Torch in Coventry, U.K on Sunday, July 1, 2012.

This will be the second time a Nigerian musician would be selected to feature in the ceremonial initiative. Rapper Eedris Abdulkareem was part of the Nigerians selected to carry the torch in 2001.

Meanwhile, Wizkid has confirmed he’s joining Tiwa Savage as brand ambassador for Pepsi.

It is no news that Music producer/artiste, Samklef’s has been conspicuously withdrwan an entry into the United Kingdom. Though the said artiste manager has come out to denied the allegation.

The artiste who was recently denied entry upon arrival in England, and subsequently deported, traveled to the U.K on a false claim.

The story, published recently in a soft-sell magazine "Encomium Magazine" , alleged that the father of one said he’d lied to immigration officers about his reasons for travelling to the U.K, saying most Nigerian artistes do it.

The magazine wrote:

Encomium Magazine: We learnt you told immigration that you were on vacation and they eventually found out you came for shows without work permit. How true is it?

Samklef: Yes

However, Samklef’s manager is now denying this. In a chat with journalist, he said ‘I don’t know where Encomium got their information from.’

He however admits Samklef, 26, was denied entry, and sent back from Heathrow arrival.

Samklef refused to have a conversation with us on this issue, passing the phone to his manager after initially picking it up himself.

According to the manager, ‘Samklef was once invited to the U.K for a show, but couldn’t attend due to logistics challenges on the part of the organizers. A few months later, he got another invitation and tried to travel on the visa issued him by the former company, but unknown to him, that company had reported him to immigration, accusing him of fraudulent activities, hence, he was sent back to Nigeria’.

However, he claims everything has been settled since then, and ‘all is now well’.

No word yet on when the hit-maker, who celebrated the arrival of his first baby in March, few months after his wedding to Yvonne, is planning to return.

A 12 year old Nigerian kid who happens to be a pop singer has been reportedly signed to Sony Music Entertainment Africa.

E-Punch reports that the kid "Kamsi Ekpeyong" popularly known "Kamsee" signed a two-year contract deal with the label.

The South African entertainment mogul "Jandre Louw" who was a representative for Sony Music in South Africa flew into Lagos recently to meet with the rapper’s father Gen. Peter Ekpenyong before wrapping up the deal with Kamsee.

The terms of the contract, according to unconfirmed reports, will see the company fund and oversee the recording, promotion and marketing of Kamsee’s debut album in all its markets across the world.

Kamsee, who is a JS2 student at the Trinity International College is often referred to as the ‘Nigerian Justin Bieber’ released his debut single titled ‘Friends’ with a follow up video in January 2011.

He has already performed at top shows including AY-Live, Wizkid’s Album Launch Concert, Stella Damasus’ album launch, 2011 Calabar Carnival to mention some.

Popular artiste and producer Fagbemi Ebenezer a.k.a "SYLENCE" had come in the open to say that popular lewd artiste "SKALIEY MENTAL" is not the original producer of "Obotoshe" and "This life" including some other songs on his (skailey)album as he claims he produced all songs.

According to an interview Skailey Mental granted to a soft-sell magazine "City People" 'I produced all songs on my album,sylence was just an engineer that works at the studio,he is not the one that produce my hit track Lion,obotoshe and the rest,he only helped me to promote it on the street by giving it out to Dj's'.

Reacting to this claim on a phone chat with our reporter,Sylence simply put ' i dont know what he is saying,perhaps I've always heard that he goes around telling everybody that he produces all songs and perhaps even call me a mere engineer,see let me tell you a story,skailey wasn't staying in iju before,he came all the way from ebute metta and was staying with a fellow artiste "Zee world". I produced all songs and i made him who he was today,infact can you believe that all songs that i produced for him on his album were on credit and he never gave me a credit to it all,am suppose to be complaining but i reserved my comments for a better day.He cant stand infront of me and tell me that he produced al songs!! he just cant...i have all the datas here with me, so whats he saying? shit talk to you later pls bye.'

He is in the news again, but this time we can authoritatively tell you it has been confirmed. It’s barely coming almost a year late, but Terry G has finally vindicated us, by confirming the identity of his better half.

The pictures, which recently found their way online, showed the star, with a new blonde hairdo, in different poses and seductive expressions.

The day before the photos leaked, the Def Jam singer uploaded a message on her Instagram saying ‘I got a big shoot tomorrow for a surprise fragrance for my ladies called…NUDE! Bye bye dreadz, for NOW!‘

The perfume is to hit the shelves very soon and was inspired by the success of her previous perfume, Reb’l Fleur, which she launched in 2011.

Popular Nigerian rapper "Panshak Zamani" popularly known as Ice Prince has finally admitted to being a father – two months after the media broke the story back in March 2012.

The Chocolate City rapper disclosed this while speaking Vanessa Offiong of Nigerian newspaper Weekly Trust’s Weekend Magazine in an interview published over the weekend.

When asked what the experience was like about being a ‘new dad’ and how it was fitting that into his schedule, he responded: ‘Yes I am. I have a strong team around me and we are able to schedule our events properly. This gives me time to take care of all the things that I need to take care of’.

On March 1, 2012, 20-year-old former Houdegbe North American University undergraduate Bimbo Babatunde delivered a baby boy (since named Toluwalase) for Ice Prince.

The rapper had before now, repeatedly denied he’s the father of Bimbo’s child. The baby was born in March 1, 2012.

Ice Prince was recently nominated for the 2012 BET Awards in the ‘Best International Act: Africa’ category, alongside compatriot Wizkid.

Rapper and song writer Eva has been confirmed by Eldee Da Don, the CEO of Trybe Records as a new signing for the company.

Eldee took his twitter account early on Wednesday May 30, 2012 to announce this new addition.

‘Good morning Yall! Join me as I welcome @evaalordiah the newest member of Trybe Records v2.0!’

With her new track ‘I Don Did it’ and ‘High’ video, Eva is definitely enjoying her time, pulling crowds across the state especially at the recently held King of Comedy show.

It wasn't a tale he can handle,if you would recall a couple of weeks back, when the news filtered the air that he was a GAY and also the head of a cult in Nigeria ILLUMINATI.

Now,his anger has risen and he is going to make sure that punishment will be done to those trying to soil his image,as veteran musician "CHARLY BOY" has threatened to sue two publications which reported that he is gay and a member of the Illuminati, a secret cult.

On Saturday, May 26, 2012, the National Mirror and Daily Independent newspapers published an article making the allegations, quoting from a Danfo Newspaper.

Charly boy took to his Twitter account on Monday, May 28, 2012 saying ‘yesterday, I was an illuminati member. Today, a gay, tomorrow, sleeping with a coffin and the list is endless. When will they stop these lies?‘

The eccentric entertainer says he usually keeps mum regarding media allegations, but it seems the 60-year-old musician is now ready to break his pattern, threatening to take legal action against National Mirror and Daily Independent.

‘I read with total dismay in Saturday Mirror newspaper that I am a gay and head of illuminati. I have never sued before…but this time…’ said Charlyboy

He continued, ‘I’m really very sorry, but this action is necessary just to avert future unverified story by my most learned journalists! My words!’

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Idol judge’s press secretary, Mr Adoyi Abah Ali, has sent a letter to the MD of National Mirror, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, alerting him of Charlyboy’s plans to take the case farther, and demanding they remove the article within 72 hours.

The letter reads:

I write to draw your attention to a story released on your paper on Sunday, 26th May, 2012 titled’ I’m Gay-Charlyboy’.

I’m well aware of how close you have been with the charlyboy brand since the past 25 years, and how grounded you have been in relation to the Charlyboy persona. This invariably shows that you have been able to follow the Charlyboy Brand all through your career in the field of journalism. Such display of interest and continuous curiosity to know more about the mission, vision and the character of the brand is worth commending. This is in exception of your positive contribution to the brand since the inception of your paper (National Mirror).

However, I’m a little disappointed that under your watch, such irresponsible and malicious story with such screaming headline could be published, maybe in the bid to draw traffic or encourage readership of your paper. I’m simply amazed!

What amazes me the most is your little understanding of the character of the Charlyboy brand and the reason with which it was established. You of all people should know that if truly he is gay, he would have been the first person to come out, screaming on top of his voice, even in market places defending gay rights. He wouldn’t have needed any newspaper to fight the authority over his right. Yes, you and I know that, yet you let the story out without much consideration on its effect on the brand that mentors young people.

I’m pained not because a rumour was just speculated that CB is gay and head of Illuminati in Nigeria, but I’m touched due to the fact that you called it a ‘confession’ through a fictitious interview that was never published in your paper or any other paper. If you could conclude that he is gay because of an interview culled from another paper, you should have balanced the story by insisting on hearing the other side. You are respected in the Charlyboy organisation as one of the few credible journalists.

We are aware of your fight in the past for integrity and respect, so it is obvious why I can’t hide my disappointment that this irresponsible journalism happened under your watch, in the most unprofessional manner

Anyway, I should hope that you have a copy of the original interview granted by the Areafada where he admitted being gay on tape.

On our own part, we cannot control people’s opinion in a matter such as this, but to have come out to state categorically that Charlyboy granted an interview in relation to this issue is not only scandalous, but ‘human slaughter’. Your paper has gone beyond the boundaries, and would have to answer some basic questions as to how this story got to it. At the moment, one can only believe that Charlyboy’s interview is presently on tape and on your desk as claimed.

I would like to remind you again that the brand is a seasoned Journalist and understands the minutiae of Journalism and cannot be rubbished by any newspaper.

Having said this, I want to assure you that the Management of the brand will definitely ask questions in order to avert such libelous story in future, because this recklessness in journalism must stop!
