"Clearance is from heaven. I call him Yomi. When I look at him, I see myself through him. He is just too much. I'm not saying all these because he is my son. I wish he is not my son, I would have showered him with lot more praises for the great things he has been doing in the music industry. It was a good combination from Clarion his mother, who's also a proffesional in her acting field, and myself. I'm so proud of him."

"WE GET MONEY FROM EVIL MUSIC" SAYS TERRY G.

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

Benue State born 'crazy' musician, Terry G,  who is also a proud dad, has revealed that the reason why artistes of today have lewd lyrics in their songs is because they make millions from it.

The “Gbagbe Osi” crooner revealed that only songs without any morale backing fetch them more money than the usual sensible musics.

Reacting to the current trend of bad music in the entertainment industry, he said “You see, today’s music is evil. We call it commercial music. This is the music that brings the millions. People are still doing good music here but there is no buzz. It is the commercial music which some people term ‘bad’ music that is getting us the millions. It is all about the business of music and the ‘glam’ that accompanies it. I said before that I was doing good music before, but the buzz was not there. So, I researched what the need is and experimented with songs like ‘Make I Nak You Apako’ and others. It is not easy doing music; recording a song is a piece of creativity and you just do it from your heart and await the feedback from listeners”.

ACE COMEDIAN "JULIUS AGWU" STEP DOWN FROM POLITICAL AMBITION, DUE TO PRESSURE FROM OCCULTIC GROUPS TO JOIN THEM.

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

It has been reported that ace comedian, Julius Agwu has abandoned his political ambition to be the next governor of Rivers State come 2015, shortly after he claimed occult members have been threatening him to join them or he won't make the seat.

However, it was revealed that his change of heart is coming on the heels after he reportedly had with his Ikwerre kinsmen.

According to Julius Agwu’s manager, Prince Sunday Uwem, "There was a meeting on Thursday, October 30, between Julius Agwu and his kinsmen from Ikwere, and it was agreed that he should step down from the governorship race because the current Governor Rotimi Amaechi is his friend and they are both from the same area."

Speaking further, Uwem said: ‘They’ll want the position to rotate to another part of the state and Julius Agwu has decided to listen to his people and withdraw from contesting.’ This, however, doesn’t mean the end of the road for Julius Agwu’s budding political career as the comedian is said to have only withdrawn from the governorship race and has not ruled out contesting for any other office. Earlier this month, sources in the comedian’s camp revealed exclusively that Governor Amaechi invited Julius to a meeting, urging him to step down based on the rotation quota of the state.

Sources also disclosed that the comedian is being offered a legislative post but he’s yet to fully decide what his next line of action will be, which will be determined by a couple more meetings he is planning with stakeholders to ascertain what other viable positions are available for him.

Julius Agwu declared his intention to run for the governorship election of his native Rivers State in August 2014.

NIGERIA RAP STAR "RUGGEDMAN" PROFESS HIS LOVE FOR AMERICA SINGER "RIHANNA"

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

Michael Stephens, popularly known as Ruggedman, is a graduate of Political Science from the Lagos State University, Ojo. In 1989, he started exploring music and in 1999, he produced his own songs and released two tracks. Since launching his music some years ago, the rapper has grown to become a top artiste in Nigeria. Apart from music, Ruggedman is into fashion and event hosting. In this exclusive interview, the rapper talked about some issues.
How have you been coping with the industry

It has been very hectic (for me) because I am working on my artiste (Mbryo), mine and my 20th Sept Wear clothing line projects. It has also been fun because I am a workaholic and I enjoy doing what I love.

What about rumoured affair with Maheeda, Halima and Monalisa

These happen because certain people can’t keep their noses out of my private life. So, they try to forcefully attach me to any female they see around or with me. Those are not scandals, (they are) just antics of attention/hit seeking bloggers. Maheeda modelled a top from my soon to be re-launched 20th Sept Wear clothing line. Super diva Monalisa did the same. Halima graced a birthday event held for me. So that is how I automatically started dating them ‘in certain bloggers’ eyes.’

Maybe they do this because you are yet to get married?

So, I should rush to get married for bloggers to stop attaching my name to women? (that is) very funny. God forbid I do because of such a reason. I will marry when i marry.

What is now your relationship with 9ice and Toni Payne

Next question please. People should let the matter rest.

Why have you not done any hit like in the past

I chilled out a bit from making music to concentrate on my record label and signed Mbryo. He is a singing sensation who produces and plays the guitar, drums and piano. I am working directly on his project to build a new brand that Nigeria will start feeling a lot really soon. I have also been manufacturing wears for my clothing line that will soon go on sale. (I have also been) promoting my ‘Agidi’ song featuring Wande Coal and it is getting heavy rotation on radio stations nationwide. I have already shot the video (Paul Gambit directed it) and it will soon be released.

Can you tell us how much you make from your clothing line

No, because I am about to go live with sales. But I can tell you I have spent millions producing snapbacks, varsity jackets, hoodys and T-shirts.

Do you intend joining politics in the future

No, I do not.

How was your first breakup experience like

I guess she shattered my heart. I wrote her a long letter and she replied on the back of the same paper, saying we can only be friends. I think I even still have the letter somewhere in my house.

would out take her back if she comes begging now

She is happily married now with kids (laughs). We were in secondary school then.

Describe your kind of woman

(She must have a) good sense of humour, respect, moral values and accepts what I do and vice versa.

What can't you do for money

Kill.

Would you accept N100million to give up your career for a houseboy job

I wouldn’t be a houseboy if I have N100million. I will hire someone else to do the job.

What turns you off

Lies, pretenders and body odour.

What have made you survive and remain relevant in a highly competitive industry

God, originality, creativity, guts and hard work.

Who is your favourite celebrity and why

2Face Idibia; he is a wonderfully blessed singer and his humility is amazing.

Do you support the idea of flaunting assets online

No, I do not. It’s not my nature.

Tell me one thing you can spend your last kobo to get?

If it is not a ticket to heaven, then there is nothing I will spend my last kobo to get. I have learnt not to attach too much sentimental value to material things.

What would you change in the entertainment industry if you were in government

I would create a proper body to protect the works of entertainers and make sure their royalties.

Who is the person you would want to meet, dead or alive? And what would you say to the person?

(I would love to meet) 2Pac because to me, he is the greatest rapper and Rihanna, because I am so crazy about her realness.

AFRICA'S FINEST SINGER "DAVIDO" PLANS COLLABORATION WITH AMERICA RAP STAR "DRAKE"

Words:Adedosu 'kenzy' Adekunle

Africa and Nigerian biggest music sensation, David Adeleke aka Davido, recently revealed his musical plans, stating that he plans to have a music collaboration with American Rap star, Drake.

The Skelewu crooner, who has been on tour to some Africa countries , made it known that his reasons for delaying in releasing another album is because he wants to stand out in the Nigerian music industry, which some say is filled with mediocres.

'I have plans to do a collabo with Drake. I like his kind of music. It’s going to be the bomb! Something my fans would appreciate. We are already working on that,’ he said while answering to some questions from our reporter.

Speaking on his relationship status, the singer said, "I don't want to talk about relationship, so that I can keep being happy. Talking about my relationship status might make me sad at the end of the day and I don't want that. Like the media keep speculating whenever they see me with any girls, I don't really care. I just want to be happy."

Lately, Davido has been spotted with different girls in compromising positions but he keeps insisting there is no string attached to any of them.
